Mike Rowe's Work Ethics Lesson 2: Pursuit of Happiness.
Students will get their handbooks for this lesson and type up notes from yesterday.
Students need to handle this assignment as instructed.
Students will open the PDF file with the correct page number in Adobe Photoshop and type in their notes. Mr. Neeld will demonstrate.
Photoshop settings are as follows:
Arial (Font)
Regular is the family
14pt is the point size.
After the student is done with each page, save using the file names:
First name Last name Lesson 2 Page 13 (Example: Hilton Neeld Lesson 2 Page 13)
First name Last name Lesson 2 Page 14
First name Last name Lesson 2 Page 15
After students have completed their work, they will upload it to their Mike Rowe Work Ethic Account.
Students will also upload the worksheets to Google Classroom for Mr. Neeld to review. These worksheets must be completed by September 11th.
We are working on getting the vinyl-cutting machine to work.
Activities / Assignments:
1) SkillsUSA students, we have a meeting on Thursday, September 12th, at 4:30 PM; parents should pick them up around 5:30 PM.
2) SkillsUSA students will create a Recruitment Flyer for the state fair contest.
A) Shoot a video and create a QR code.
B) We are making preparations for the SkillsUSA Champion Rally. (Mr. Neeld is looking for Parent Permission and BHS students' SSA forms.
State Fair Entry $20 + $25 Rides Wristband Total $45

State Fair forms will be handed out at Thursday's meeting.
State Standards:
ACCT-IGD-10. Students will generate and manipulate various graphic imaging
processes.
ACCT-IGD-15. Students will identify and produce files utilizing different digital
formats.
ACCT-IGD-16. Students will identify and demonstrate page layout terminology
and tools.
ACCT-IGD-13. Students will understand and demonstrate how to design a page
layout.
ACCT-IGD-17. Students will identify and understand the differences in page
layout, raster-based photo manipulation, and vector-based graphic software
applications.
ACCT-IGD-14. Students will identify the five elements incorporated into basic
graphic designs and will understand the application of effective color usage.
