Glynn County Schools is proud to announce that Dr. Joseph Depenhart, principal and CTAE director of Golden Isles College and Career Academy, has been honored with the Construction Ready Administrator of the Year Champion Award. This esteemed award recognizes Dr. Depenhart's outstanding contributions to advancing the construction industry in the Golden Isles.

Construction Ready, a Georgia-based nonprofit organization that supports trades education by training individuals for well-paying, entry-level construction jobs, presented the award at the 5th Annual Construction Ready Champions’ Awards Breakfast on Friday, December 13, 2024, at the Cobb Galleria.

Dr. Depenhart expressed his gratitude, stating, "I am honored to receive the Construction Ready Administrator of the Year Champion Award. At Golden Isles College and Career Academy, we are dedicated to workforce development and providing quality education in the construction trades. This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our construction and metals teachers,” he said.

“Together, we have achieved industry certifications, increased student enrollment in construction fields, and introduced new pathways like heavy equipment operations to meet local demand for skilled labor. We are also planning to offer a plumbing pathway next school year. This recognition highlights our ongoing efforts to fulfill our mission of providing a quality workforce for Glynn County."

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Depenhart on this well-deserved recognition and look forward to celebrating this achievement with him.
