timer 1 Welcome to the agriculture Department here at Golden Isles College and Career Academy I am the instructor for basic agriculture science and systems leadership talk about a few things you're going to need to thrive in your agricultural education experience so here's my classroom already got the social distance thing waiting for just to get here the rant about the three Circle model we're going to talk about classroom instruction and what you need there how if it's a applies to you and your supervised agricultural experience every day plaster supplies you're going to need or going to be a three-ring binder with Piper a writing utensil pen or pencil an electronic device so important with Google Classroom closed toe shoes I'm going to say little bit more about PlayStation shoes we will be doing activities out in the greenhouse outside and parking lot in the grass in the Outdoor Classroom area the Garden area and with the rabbits make sure you have clothes and shoes and shoes that are not necessarily you're worried about him getting wet or the Bus full of them and a mask is now mandated for every day so please make sure you have that with you everyday you're also going to need everyday highlighters colored pencils crayons markers to help a senior learning in class Google Classroom is going to be used for almost everything if you are out so Google classrooms be there for you so you don't miss anything we may have to reschedule Labs but for the most part everything will be there for look for an invite next week before the 20th to join the classroom will make sure on day one that you're able to log in alright so it looks like what I feel is topics that we're going to cover in class I like management and some Forest Management in the basic egg science will also be talking about some Small Animal Care in class in the greenhouse and Garden area and the plants there that we have had a lot of Empty Tables will be working there working to get ready for plants sales and Shih Tzu student experiments the bunny barn and off to the left is that right that area of the Garden area three Circle model FFA and Leadership so the mission statement for FFA includes Premier leadership personal growth and Career Success for all of our Psychonauts for Tammy FFA is active in the community with service projects and competition so be a part of that Career Technical student organization is co-curricular we're going to be utilizing the standard that the state has given us in class and there is expected precipitation by all students who are in the agriculture Pro $15 that includes your T-shirt the deadline is going to be October 2nd for this to you so you got a little heads up now you know that's coming up go ahead and bring that with you a presentation Summit in that exemption in class by monthly activities for FFA members competitive event leadership events and scholarships crew development events are our competition is she can stay there is a variety of competition start as an FFA member you need to decide your interest area and step up to dissipate in those activities with learning in class CDE and song that will occur after school at your base high schools and hear leadership events are held during the year by state or national staff we also do a bit Camp here like please during the month of June for middle and elementary student FFA members in Huntsville RC church for that are camp counselor or that they Camp so if you're interested in being a teacher this is an excellent Opera Washington leadership conference is in Washington DC we have scholarships available that $1,200 is a pretty face be so we do offer some scholarships and we'll talk more about that one in class 2 and then Summer Leadership Camp is at the state FFA camp in Covington and we'll talk more about how those minis are paid in class when is the next opportunity leadership skills and competitiveness activities and the last of the three Circle model FFA is a supervised agricultural experience so every student in agriculture department is expected is required to have a SAE this is your guardian and you you got 15 hours to document outside of school time on this project for sure it should be an interest you have an interest you're in a class is as soon as you have an interest in animal science natural resources agribusiness going to be thinking about what your project can be that you can spend this 15 hour so we'll talk a lot more in class on that I have a lot more information for you to help you make your decision as we go come back to school make sure you wash your hands make sure you use that site make sure you wash between your fingers and washing and cleaning your fingernails and let's keep help keep everybody safe and wear your masks make sure you've got your name is forced out of here already to meet all of you and get the year started so make sure you come home and prepared looking forward to seeing you on the 20th I guess I'm
