The Golden Isles College and Career Academy (GICCA) Electrical Pathway introduces students to the foundational electrical theory, wiring systems, and safety protocols used in residential and commercial construction.

Program Overview

The curriculum combines classroom technical instruction with hands-on lab exercises to prepare students for high-demand careers as professional electricians.

  • Circuitry & Wiring: Students learn to layout, assemble, install, and test residential and commercial electrical wiring systems.
  • National Electrical Code (NEC): Instruction focuses heavily on understanding and applying safety regulations and strict compliance standards.
  • Blueprint Reading: Coursework covers interpreting electrical schematics, load calculations, and architectural planning layouts.
  • Industrial Tool Operation: Students master the proper handling of specialized equipment, conduits, testers, and commercial hand tools.
  • Career Preparation: Enrolled students can leverage local Work-Based Learning opportunities and regional apprenticeship pipelines.
