Agriculture Leadership and Aquaculture

The Golden Isles College and Career Academy (GICCA) Agricultural Leadership and Aquaculture Pathway introduces students to the high-tech fields of aquatic farming, natural resource management, and corporate agribusiness. 

Program Overview

This coastal-focused training track combines environmental science with business principles to prepare students for leadership roles in the region’s expanding marine and agricultural economies. 

  • Aquaculture & Marine Science: Students study aquatic ecosystems, fish and shellfish husbandry, and water quality management using modern, closed-loop farming technologies.
  • Agribusiness Leadership: Coursework focuses heavily on public speaking, project management, financial planning, and communications tailored to the agricultural sector.
  • Sustainable Technology: Instruction introduces precision agricultural practices, resource conservation, and automated aquatic monitoring systems. 
  • FFA Integration: As active members of the Golden Isles FFA chapter, students participate in leadership development programs and competitive livestock or natural resource events. 
  • Career Fast-Track: Successful pathway completion builds the professional skills needed to unlock local Work-Based Learning opportunities and regional industry internships.
